8 mths old!

Yesterday I captured this little guy again. He has been on this earth for 8 mths! He was a little unsure of me at first but after we cleared out the kitchen and gave him some room to crawl around he turned on his A game. We ended the session in the tub. What a great way to end a session. It was moms idea b/c both of her boys love the bath. They splashed and splashed and had so much fun! She wanted to get some images for their bathroom and we got some!! Thank you guys for another great session. We will see you in the spring. Enjoy your images and slide show HERE!

1 and so much fun!

Despite all the snow on the roads today I ventured out and captured “M”. A year has gone by and it’s so hard to believe she is one. It seems like yesterday when I captured her and she was just days old. Thank you for a great year!! She was so proud of her walking skills and SO HAPPY! I think she is smiling in over 75% of the images. I just love it when kids are rested and fed. It makes for a great session! Keep that in mind when you are trying to get all those fun images of your own kiddos. Try taking pix after naps or after a good meal.

Enjoy your images and slide show HERE!!

On another note I have been getting e-mails about my images, what equipment I use and questions like how can I get my pictures to look like yours:). I will try to answer your questions soon! I have five more sessions coming up between tomorrow and Sat and then we are moving!! Things are a little hectic but I love it! Say lots of prayers for us that the weather is great next week b/c if we get dumped on with lots of snow like we did last night the move will not be very fun:).

I will start with this question:
What type of equipment do you use?
ANSWER:
*Canon 5D (camera)
*”L” series lenses 24-70/2.8, 85mm/1.2, 70-200.2.8IS (I am really liking the prime lens lately and thinking about purchasing another one (maybe the 28/1.4 – I am still researching this one!)
*sometimes the 580EX flash – and I am looking into off camera flash for weddings!
*a lightsphere for when I use flash (it helps diffuse the light)
*one of the most important things is post processing the images after the session with photoshop (I use CS2)
*a bag that holds everything
*a grey card (sometimes I use a note card) to custom set the white balance
*knowing how to shoot manual on your camera helps a ton – shooting AV works well in certain situations but you really need to know how to shoot manual

I will answer more questions later!! Thanks for all the e-mails and I hope this answers some of your questions!

1 week old….

It was cold, dreary and wet outside this past Sunday, but inside a cozy home was a brand new baby girl. Mom, dad, grandma and her two older brothers were inside getting used to their new norm. As I walked in the door I could tell joy filled their home! They were all so excited about their newest addition.

We started off with a few shots and then the little princess was hungry so while she was eating I checked out her room and what a CUTE room it was! I snapped an image of her shabby chic bed (check out the slide show for this image). Her mom designs clothes, blankets, bibs and much more so her room was well decorated. The last image posted is of little “R” in a basket with one of the blankets “J” made. One side was purple and the other was like a quilt with lots of different fabric. If you want to get in touch with her to make your little ones AMAZING outfits or you need a gift for a new baby or a baby of your own you can contact her at boutiquebabychic@yahoo.com (her stuff is fantastic!!).

Thank you guys for a great afternoon (even though it was super bowl Sunday). Enjoy your images and slide show HERE!

We had a few outfit changes and a few little smirks here and there! Thank you guys for a fantastic afternoon. I will see you in a few months! The next time we meet I will have to put my running shoes on b/c she will be on the move. Enjoy your images and slide show HERE!
