Despite all the snow on the roads today I ventured out and captured “M”. A year has gone by and it’s so hard to believe she is one. It seems like yesterday when I captured her and she was just days old. Thank you for a great year!! She was so proud of her walking skills and SO HAPPY! I think she is smiling in over 75% of the images. I just love it when kids are rested and fed. It makes for a great session! Keep that in mind when you are trying to get all those fun images of your own kiddos. Try taking pix after naps or after a good meal.
Enjoy your images and slide show HERE!!
On another note I have been getting e-mails about my images, what equipment I use and questions like how can I get my pictures to look like yours:). I will try to answer your questions soon! I have five more sessions coming up between tomorrow and Sat and then we are moving!! Things are a little hectic but I love it! Say lots of prayers for us that the weather is great next week b/c if we get dumped on with lots of snow like we did last night the move will not be very fun:).
I will start with this question:
What type of equipment do you use?
ANSWER:
*Canon 5D (camera)
*”L” series lenses 24-70/2.8, 85mm/1.2, 70-200.2.8IS (I am really liking the prime lens lately and thinking about purchasing another one (maybe the 28/1.4 – I am still researching this one!)
*sometimes the 580EX flash – and I am looking into off camera flash for weddings!
*a lightsphere for when I use flash (it helps diffuse the light)
*one of the most important things is post processing the images after the session with photoshop (I use CS2)
*a bag that holds everything
*a grey card (sometimes I use a note card) to custom set the white balance
*knowing how to shoot manual on your camera helps a ton – shooting AV works well in certain situations but you really need to know how to shoot manual
I will answer more questions later!! Thanks for all the e-mails and I hope this answers some of your questions!
