What a weekend! I had a normal weekend and I haven’t had one of those in a LONG time. It was the best weekend because I had the ENTIRE weekend off from photos and spent it with my family and my little boy who just turned 4!! Yes, it was a FANTASTIC weekend. I think you might get tired of me telling you how WONDERFUL my weekend was by the end of this post because is was the BEST! Now don’t get me wrong…. I LOVE MY JOB! I think I have the best job on the planet (because I absolutely love what I do!!) but every now and then we all need a break. You all can relate because you are all normal people like me who know how hectic life can get and if we don’t stop and smell the flowers every now and then….well, then life might just pass you and me by.
My little guy turned 4 and we had a PARTY! It was a nice relaxing party with our family and friends. There were all these little people running around, coloring, playing with bubbles and getting wagon rides from a few of the adults who got suckered in to pulling them all over the outside of our house. The weather was perfect. Life just couldn’t get any better than the two great days we had at our house this weekend.
Now when you are 4 your birthday lasts more than a couple days. There are the days leading up to the big day. Those days are filled with lots of questions about the party and who’s coming….. don’t forget the presents!! Then the actual day arrives and since it falls on a weekday (and the party is on the weekend) you have to celebrate on THE day so a little party happens but the BIG party is still coming so we wait and keep celebrating! Then the party arrives with a BANG and there is a lot of fun and a lot of cake and lots of LAUGHTER from 11 little children who just love life. AND then the day is gone but all the presents are here and the left over cake so you keep celebrating until you have played with all the presents and eaten all the cake…. I think we have a few more days of celebrating but we are excited b/c there is nothing better than turning 4!!
Enjoy the images. We haven’t had our “official” photo shoot (yes, when you are a photographer you have to have the “official” session). These were all taken in the comfort of our home. When the weather warms back up we are headed downtown!!
I did have a session on Friday morning with a little guy from sunny CA! His images will be posted later this week, so check back for this little cutie pie.
