Senior Year 2008

This weekend I had the opportunity to work with “S” and her family to capture her senior images. Yes, this post is a quick one since I just shot her this weekend, BUT she graduates in less than a month and needs her images (now!!). It usually takes me a good 6-8 hours (or more) to edit seniors and I found those hours over the last two days to get these done for her.

It was so nice to meet all of you! Sam had her sisters (and mom) along for the sessions yesterday. We had a great time creating these memories. I love how they all wore bright colors to start with. Colors are my favorite to work with. Now don’t get me wrong, simple and classic are up there too but if you are going to do clothing changes you def need to add some color in at least one of your outfits! It photographs so well and just pops! As you can see in these images… they pop with color! Being true to who you are is most important, though. Wearing what makes you feel good will make your images look fabulous.

You guys were so fun to work with. Thanks for being creative with me! Enjoy your images and sneak peek slide show HERE! Congratulations on all your graduations. “S” have fun at KU next year!

sisters

I am off to bed, but had to post an image of my senior I shot today. Her two older sisters came along for the fun (b/c sessions with me are FUN!) and they are both graduating this year (from college) so we thought it would be neat to do some images of all three of them (since this is a big year for all of them!). I had another session this morning with two more sisters (a lot younger, but just as cute!). The sneak peeks will be out later this week….. enjoy!

hide and seek & a little peak….

A little bug made a visit to our home again earlier week. Thank goodness it was short lived!! So we had a jammy day when we were not feeling 100% and I hear this “mom”… “mom”… “bet you can’t find me”… so I come down the stairs and this is what I see…. they brought a tub from downstairs, upstairs and thought they would hide in it (one of their favorite things to do… hide and seek… we could play it all day or if you make a visit to our home they will hide from you…even if you are my UPS man coming to the door to drop off orders they will hide thinking he might just come in and try to find them….they are too cute!). Anyway, I had to post b/c it made me smile! The fact they always think they are hiding is so cute (even when I can see them plain as day) and their laughter and joy as they always pop up and out of their hiding places with so much excitement! I just love these two and their creative ways to entertain themselves. They crack each other up (and me) all day long doing silly things!!

I am also posting a little peak of the 3 mth old I captured this week too! This is the look I got when he first saw my camera… you will want to check back next week for the rest of the images b/c he was quite the ham for his 3 little months here on earth… not to mention ADORABLE!

I am shooting two little gals tomorrow and another senior… so more fun images to come!!

Enjoy the NICE weather we are supposed to have!

1 year old….

Last weekend I had the opportunity to take this little guys images again. He is from sunny California and sure enough it was snowing when we took these pictures!! I thought for sure we might be able to be outside since it was an April session, but you never know what you are going to get in April!! We just pulled up the curtains and used the light from the inside.

He was a little off due to the time change, but still a little trooper. We were at a friends home who live here and she had this great little spot in her “AMAZING” basement that seemed to work well. Dad held the little guy and we shot away. We tried a few spots in the house, but there was a lot going on so the poor little guy didn’t know what to do. Despite the newness of the house (to him) and the time change we still managed to get some great images! Oh, and we had cake too for his first birthday. If you are doing 1 yr pictures it’s always fun to get those cake images!!

Thank you guys for another great session! It was good to see you again and your little one is ADORABLE!

Your slide show is HERE! ENJOY!

engaged

and she said yes…. a little over 4 months ago “C” accepeted “J’s” proposal…. they will be wed in Oct of this year!

Two years ago these two met at the same location we took the images you are about to see! How cool is that! When we found out the temperature for the day of our session (not so warm) we decided on Union Station since it allows for indoor and outdoor shooting. This way if we got to cold we could warm up a bit and then head back out in the cold! This is the place they met and I was honored to go back there to capture this special time in their lives.

They are so in love and SO HAPPY (you have to watch the slide show b/c I am not sure if they are always laughing at me…very possible… or they are just happy in love). I would prefer to think the later!! I can get a little nutty, but the love these two share is evident in their images.

We had a great time running all around the Station to capture these moments. Thank you for the afternoon and I can’t wait for your wedding in Oct! Enjoy your sneak peek slide show HERE!
