I had to post an image from today’s session. This is why I love what I do. Capturing moments like this! I love my job. I love sharing life with people and letting them do what they do best and capturing it! I had to post a few of my own b/c they just make me smile too and we have moments like this all the time. My camera is always out so I can grab it in case one of the moments pops up. Enjoy the images.

Kids love to play and some of my best images at sessions are the ones they have no idea I am taking! Like this one… he was doing flips on the tramp in his back yard….

racing toys is one of their favorite things to do…..

baking chocolate chip cookies… they have to sit and watch them bake until they are done!

giving kisses is another moment that happens a lot!!!

May 30th, 2008a new little brother

This family just welcomed their newest addition and he was cute! They were all so excited about the new little guy. I just love newborns b/c they don’t move! We laid him everywhere and he was so content. If you remember (those of you from KC) it was over 80 degrees last Sunday so after church we were able to do most of his pix right on the front porch. Then we headed over to Grandpa and Grandma’s (they live a few houses down) to do some more pictures in their yard. It was nice to see you guys again!

Last weekend I had the opportunity to meet this little guy. He is the cousin of another little guy I have been capturing during his first year of life. He is from CA and they were in town visiting so his Aunt decided to surprise him with a photo shoot (very clever idea!!). It was the morning after the BIG rain we had here so things were a little damp and wet but that didn’t stop us from traipsing all over this trail area near his Aunt’s home. If you look closely at one of the pictures the water made an awesome reflection of their feet. I didn’t even notice it until I processed the images and I love it when things like that pop up in my images.

It was so nice to meet you guys! Thanks for going out in the rainy weather for your portraits! There were so many good ones it was hard to narrow them down. Enjoy your images and slide show HERE!

Things are a little busy over here so here is an image from all my sessions this past week/weekend. I captured a little 11 month old, a mom to be and her shower, a newborn baby and his big brother and sis and a 7 year old! There is more to come this week too…. I have a 1 year old (we are going to get messy with cake), a sister and her brothers, a family and an engagement session… these sessions will all take place starting Thursday… so stay tuned for all the great images!

May 26th, 2008We did!!

They were out having drinks with friends and ran into each other. Two years later………they are married!! Last weekend I had the opportunity to capture “S’ & “A”‘s wedding day. We started off at the Uptown Theater where everyone got ready. They had candy for their guests in large jars when you arrived, they had CD’s of music for guests to take of their favorite songs. Every detail was perfect! “A” had her hair done by Dyeabolique and her make-up done by OMO’s Day Spa and they both did an amazing job! Her flowers were even more perfect. Every girl had a diamond charm with their intial on it… absolutely amazing!!

They rented a trolley so we headed off to the Nelson Atkins Art Musem for some pictures and then to Loose Park where the ceremony took place. My friend Kami came along to second shoot with me and did an awesome job helping me out! We captured every detail of their day and here is a sneak peek for you to see!
