Well, we have been in our new home now for 3 months to the day AND I finally got the office in tip top shape!! Enough tip top shape I am posting a few images of it!! The displays are hung so enjoy a snippet of my life and work!! I am also posting for those of you who can’t make it over to see work. It gives you an idea of what wall portraits look like, a canvas image (gallery wrapped) and just a peek at my life…. ENJOY! I have all sizes for viewing, coffee table books, custom designed cards, senior/wedding ideas and much more. I will make appointments for clients to come, order and see work so just give me a call!

This was a GOOD weekend. It was all about me this weekend (well, sort of). I had a session Friday and then a couple sessions Sat morning and the we headed out of town to celebrate this glorious day! Yes, it’s glorious when you don’t have to cook, clean, do laundry and you get help with you kids!! We went to my hubby’s parents for the weekend and had a great time. We ate out for most of our meals (since neither one of us mom’s wanted to cook!!) and just relaxed and shared life. It was beautiful b/c for those of you who know me I am a work horse. BUT this weekend I got to sleep! And catch up on some much needed zzzzz’s. It was Glorious. I even took a nap today! Yes, a nap. I did, however, bring the laptop with me BUT the only use it got was for movies on the way home in the car. It is so big, though that I had to sit in the back seat with the kids b/c we didn’t have room for it on our console! I didn’t think about that when purchasing. I guess we will have to go back to no movies or the little DVD player. On our trip down to Jeff City we just talked and listed to music (or should I say listened to our 2 yr old and 4 yr old sing).

Okay, I can talk and talk so I will get to the part of mother’s day that was the best… my gift.. is that bad of me to think this was the best part?!??! I mean I do love my husband who helped me bring our two adorable children into the world…. and I do love being a mother beyond anything else.. so I guess I can enjoy the gift (of course I can:)!!). Well, I have a shoot sac coming in the mail. For those of you non photog’s out there you can check them out here on Jessica Claires site for them. It is going to be the best to have my lenses all in one place and to grab them and have them ready to use in the blink of an eye! I also have an expo disc coming!! It will help with my white balance (if you would like to know more give me a shout). And I am going to purchase a pocket wizard (another one of those send me an e-mail, if you would like to know more). The other part of my gift is a lens and to be honest with you I still can decide which one to get!! Feel free to share your thoughts, if you like. Just leave a comment or send me an e-mail. Here are my choices: The “L” series lenses from canon – 24mm/1.4 or the 50mm/1.2 or a fish eye lens. I will tell you I am leaning towards the fish eye simply b/c I have the 24-70/2.8, the 85mm/1.2 and the 70/200/2.8IS (all L series).

I do have the best husband in the world! He did get me the best gift a photog could ask for (more equipment!!) I just need to make up my mind and pick a lens! I will blog the pick once I make up my mind….
