Running, climbing, smelling flowers, sitting by the waterfall, blowing bubbles and playing. The words describe my session last Tuesday with these two girls. We had a great time exploring their backyard. Yes, all these images (you have to watch the slide show) came from their backyard. At first things were a little iffy with the little gal but mom brought out the bubbles and walla… the fun began!

It’s always nice to see returning clients. I have said it before, if there were more hours in the day I would have more friends than I would know what to do with. I love going back and hanging out with families and kiddos. I love the friendships I build with clients! I wish I could see them more. We will get to see more of this family in the fall for some Christmas pictures and I am very excited about that.

Thank you for another great session! I love your backyard and someday I might have to rent it out for sessions! It’s so great. The light was amazing and some of the images have the best sun flare and one has a rainbow in the flare. You will have to check them out….

June 22nd, 2008we did!

They met in a hospital. She thought he was cute and he had his eye on her too. Finally one day he just decided enough was enough and he said to her “are you ever going to go out with me?”… or something along those lines. You get the picture. The crush turned into an outing and well, the rest is history…..

They are going to be doctors and as fate would have it they are meant to be together. He was the smartest in his class and she was the smartest in hers. I think the Lord brought them together so they could bring their smarts together (and has the best man said they will have some really smart kids!).

Their wedding was held in McPherson, KS at Lakeside Park. The sun was shining bright and love was in the air. The wedding was supposed to take place in Sept, but their schedules are so hectic they moved it up to June and last week they had a wedding. The preparation had to fast, but they pulled it off. We started out at her house for the preparation shots then they saw each other for the first time on the deck (pix below) and then we headed to the park for pictures and the ceremony. After the ceremony we went to the Opera House for the reception.

Thank you guys for an incredible day! The Lord has done great things for you and the love you share is so evident. I am so happy you found each other and I wish you the best in your life to come as husband and wife.

Weddings are sad for me when they are over. I feel like part of the family for a short time then I have to say goodbye. BUT this time I get to see these two again! We weren’t able to fit their engagement session in before the big day b/c 4 weeks was not long enough to work it in, so we are going to do an after the wedding session. It will be so fun to see these two again. They are some of the nicest people I have met and I am very excited to see them again either this fall or next spring (we have to wait and see what happens with their schedules).

yes, this is a dress, but not just a dress…it’s a wedding dress! I had the honor of capturing “J” & “M”‘s wedding last weekend and their sneak peek is almost done! I know there are a lot of new bloggers checking to see these fabulous images b/c I pass out event cards at weddings with information on how to see a peek before the proofs are done. On the card it says check my blog in about a week and you will see some amazing images. Well, rest assured the peek is coming soon. I am leaving you with this post b/c her dress was stunning! There is more to come so be sure to check back later this weekend. I have three great sessions this weekend, as well. I have a couple in the morning tomorrow, a senior (who is coming from OOT) in the afternoon after her journey to KC for some fun pix and a little 2 yr old in the evening Sunday! I also had two sessions this week that are waiting to debut(two little sisters and three brothers)….So there is more fun stuff to come next week….

On another note… my hubby is camping with my two little ones in our backyard right now. It’s the cutest thing and if I have time I will blog some images (yes, I captured the entire event this eve from start to sleep). I think one of them will be coming in with me soon. Our kids go to bed pretty early and they are still pretty little so this is a big treat for them (and it’s very late right now). They are in heaven! They are all so cute….

I love this family! They are some of my favorite people. We had a great time at the park before a big storm hit! Just as we left the stepping stones the rain came, so I am glad we got them in. Earlier in the day it looked like we were going to reschedule but as soon as the early evening hit the sun peeked out for a few min so we drove to the park to see if we could get their session in… and we did!!

These kids make me smile and so do mom and dad. They are good friends and I was honored to capture their family. You have seen the littlest gal on my site a few times and now she is the big ONE! We had such a good time walking down the trail, sitting by the water, trying to keep big sister from picking her nose (yes, she wanted to do that the entire time b/c we didn’t want her too… you know how kids are) and just hanging out.

June 18th, 20082 yrs old and baby on the way

Ahhhh… this little girl (family) makes me smile. We had so much fun running all over the park capturing who she is. She is going to be a big sister in a week or two so we captured moms belly too! You will have to check back at the beginning of July for this little arrival.

The light, in the evenings, in the summer is my favorite to shoot in. You can get some really great back lighting and sun flare not to mention there isn’t as much heat. I just love summer and capturing life in the summer. This family was so great and mom is stunning and she is due in a week or two! “L” you are beautiful. Your family is beautiful. Thank you for letting me capture these memories for you. I can’t wait to meet the new little guy in a few weeks.
