If you e-mailed me in the last few days and I haven’t responded….my internet has been down. I think we have been on the phone with AT&T a full day (NOT KIDDING). To say the least I have been a little frustrated. SO… I am sorry if I am a few days behind in responding to your e-mails. It’s back up and running so things are happy again at the Miller home:)! My husband and I both work from home so our hearts are happy that a tech finally came this evening to fix the problem.
I have 11 sessions for you to see… hopefully soon (a few from a week ago). Keep checking back for some great stuff! There are babies from KC, babies from out of town, kiddos who kept me on my toes (literally!), families, an engagement session and a belly!! I am shooting a wedding in McPherson, KS (for all you Midwesterners out there) this coming weekend plus two more sessions coming up this week. I think I say this all the time… we are busy… but we love it!!
I can’t post without an image (honey, if you are reading this stop now and just look at the images). I am doing something really fun with some images I took of the kiddos a couple weeks ago for their daddy for Father’s Day… YES, the big DAD day is coming up!! I am surprising my hubby with a date night (okay, he kinda knows about it b/c I needed to make sure he was home at a certain time when the sitter arrived… surprises are harder with kiddos) and what would a holiday be around our home without fun pictures….. you can probably guess what he will be getting (besides the shelves he bought himself for our garage storage…..I was going to purchase these for him but I came home a couple days ago to the box….he thought he would save me the trip… gotta love husbands!… so he gets pictures instead!!).
THE SESSION…..I wanted this little session to run smooth and for the kids to give me their best. You know, I am like every mom when it’s time for their kids to get their pix taken. Well, it didn’t go so well. I love it when moms and dads leave me alone with the kids for a few min b/c I can get some really good stuff when they are hidden for a bit. I can’t really hide myself since I have the big black camera in my hand, so I can’t do what I do best b/c these two little ones know me. My littlest one cried the ENTIRE TIME. My friend who is starting out came along with me and I think her first thought was “do you treat all your clients this way”. I was in my not so happy mommy mode (I am sure all you moms out their can relate to this mode). Anyway, here are some of the best images. You will notice I did not get any with their cute smiley faces looking at my camera… I think I might have to hire someone b/c they aren’t fans of the camera since they see it every day! I guess if I was 4 and 2 I would much rather play with the bugs, look in the pipes and dance… rather than get my picture taken by my mom. I did capture who they are right now and that is all that matters… ENJOY!
they were dancing and it turned into ring around the rosy….

Are you really making us stand up here?…. is what they are thinking… I added texture to this image, as well!

They wanted to catch the bug and take it home (they thought it might make a great pet!)

I had to post this image b/c she was done… she did not want her picture taken and this is how she was most of the session….
