Little “C”

I love this little girl. I love her tights. I love her smile (when she gave it to us) and I love all of her looks. This is what a one year session looks like and I love it! She was on the move. The image where she is sitting lasted 1 sec (literally). I was on my toes the entire time and mom tells me she has been walking since 9 months!!!! So mom has been on her toes for a while now too. But this is why I love what I do. We scattered all over the park chasing ducks, walking over bridges, hanging out with mom and dad and she didn’t make a peep! She was so good, so sweet and I wanted to take her home by the end of the session. As we are making our way through the park mom tells me this is their first professional session with a photo journalistic photographer. She then tells me how much she loved the experience (thank you!!). When kiddos are this age getting them out and about is the best way to capture who they really are. We had a great time and I was honored to capture this time in their life for them. I can’t wait to design their Christmas card!!

It was so nice to mee you guys. Enjoy your sneak peek!

On a side note: speaking of Christmas cards. I don’t have samples posted b/c each card I design is unique to you! I don’t have one card that is the same. I take the images your choose and work my magic. I love making them all unique to who you are.

Little “M”

On Sat I met up with this family (after being 30 min late to the session due to traffic!!!). Let me just tell you a little bit about myself. I am not late. I am early. I will show up 10 min early to things. I HATE being late. I am an on time person. This is the FIRST time I have been late to a session and of course my emotions got the best of me. I don’t know this family (well, now I do:)). I have never met them before (until Sat). It’s 9:00 and I am SITTING in traffic (due to all the construction on I-35 that wasn’t posted before I took my exit). I call “K” and tell her I am going to be a little late but not sure how long since I am still out South and we are meeting at the park up North. Then I lose it. I cry. If you know me I can do that sometimes. I was very upset about being late. I know, there was nothing I could do.

Needless to say this family was amazing! They understood and little “M” was so cute!! He got up two hours before he normally does. Doesn’t that always happen when you have something planned? We still managed to pull a few smiles out of him, get a GREAT family shot (more than one!) and have fun all at the same time. He enjoyed the ducks more than anything!

THANK YOU guys for being so understanding, for walking all over the park and for a great session. It was so nice to meet you. Your slide show and proofs will be out later this week!

Family

You have seen them on my blog before! I go way back to my college days with this couple. Now they have two boys and I love to watch them grow and capture their lives. We met downtown last weekend. We hung out on the steps, on rocks and in the road! It was fun to catch up and see where they are now. The boys were so good and this was a pretty easy session for all. The weather was great! It was the day we had the cool morning and then the lovely cold front. We were very thankful we met before the cold hit!

Thank you guys for another great session! Enjoy your sneak peek of my favorite images from the session. There are more to come. Your proofs will be ready soon.

I have more sneak peeks to come. I am designing Christmas cards like crazy and I have a wedding next week so thanks for all your patience.

3 years old!

This little girl was such a joy to capture. I went over to her house, picked her up and we walked across the street to these wonderful flowers. I told mom to let me take her by myself and here is a little peak of what we captured. This is only a peak too! There are so many more. Little “M” is a new friend of ours too since we moved. They live down the street and we are so blessed to have their friendships. She has an older sister who was in school when we took these so you may see her out here next.

We have or I should say had all these AMAZING sunflowers in our area and I love how we just walked over to the field and did this entire session. The flowers are almost gone but next year if you have a cool chair (I may have a vintage chair by then) and want some great sunflower images let me know! The best time to do field pictures is early in the morning before the sun gets to high in the sky or later in the evening right before sunset.

Enjoy these images and “S” your proofs will be done in a few days! Thanks for letting make take “M” and capture this time in her life. We had so much fun together.

All the way from CO!

Yep, that is right this family came all the way to KC for a photo shoot and we had a great time downtown last weekend. Little “T” was not so sure about the concrete, red bricks and the train but we managed to get him to look at my lovely BIG black camera. How? Well, Grandma and Grandpa came long for the session and had these little toys they hung over my head and it worked! It’s amazing what little tricks can do. Thanks G & G for helping out. You have to check out this little guy. He is one handsome little dude!

Thank you guys for a great session. Thanks for meeting me downtown (my favorite place to shoot!) and I will let you know when we make our next trip back to CO!! Oh, now that I am on face book (yes, I caved and have a face book account) and you are my face book friend we can keep in touch! The internet is a beautiful thing. Now I just need to find some more time……

Enjoy a little sneak peek. Your slide show and online proofs are coming soon!
