Family

It was a beautiful morning. The weather was gorgeous for early fall and so was the family I met at the park. If I had the time I would write a little blurb on how I capture some of the images I capture. I am not your typical photographer who puts you in a few places and calls it a morning. I love to chit chat, get to know you and hang out while taking pictures. When people feel comfortable and are engaged with one another the pictures turn out GREAT! And with kiddos, if you let them do their own thing that is when the best images happen. I love what I do. I love interacting with you and making you feel at home even if we are at a park!

Now, back to the family (I can get off on tangents… sorry!). I met them last year and we did a fun Christmas card and they are back again this year. The girls weren’t 100% (but well enough to make it out) and we still managed to get some great shots of them and some great family shots. Keeping everyone together at the park was a small challenge but it was a fun, small challenge. Little ones have a mind of their own and I am so glad I am able to keep up with them! I love to run b/c it makes me feel great but I also think I should keep running to stay in shape for my job too! If you have little ones and you have a session coming up bring your running shoes b/c we will be on the move!!

Grandpa and Grandma came along this year for some pix too which was great. It’s so nice to see family so close. They were playing with each other (and trying to keep the little ones from running off… like I said the little ones have a mind of their own!). It was so nice to see you guys again. Here are a few of my favorite images and here are a few more SLIDE SHOW. Enjoy your sneak peek! There are so many more and I will get to them this week.

1 year old!

I love color. I love little ones and this gal (for the first part of our session) was all smiles! I love this first image. It would be great on canvas or three in a row!! She was all excited about her green coat and the hood. This is the end of our baby package. It has been fun seeing these guys for the past year and watching little “L” grow. Thank you for a great year. Enjoy your sneak peek! Here is a slide show.

sisters

It was a beautiful afternoon. The park was a perfect place to capture these two. Little “C” is sitting up and almost crawling at her 6 months of age. Her big sister is adorable and as you can see by the pictures we had a great time. There were smiles all around. Well, little “C” gave us her smile one or two times and I am so glad I caught it b/c she gave us a million other looks that were just as sweet too!

I love the little ones and I love to watch siblings interact with each other. Thank you guys for another great session. Enjoy your sneak peek of some of my favs and a slide show of a few more HERE.

Happy Birthday…..

….to ME!! Yep, today was my birthday and it was a GREAT day! My morning started out with a run (by myself!!). If you know me I run almost every day and I am usually pushing my 35 lb and 25 lb kiddos in a double jogger. I love it b/c it’s a workout but I also LOVE when I get to go by my lonesome!! Then my friend “D” watched my kids all morning… I love my friends!! I went to Starbucks and they gave me a FREE drink and thought I was turning 25 (I didn’t tell them they were WAY off). Then when I picked up the kids up after lunch they had baked cookies, decorated them and made me birthday cards. It was a great day! My hubby grilled dinner, made me a cake and we had a wonderful evening. We have family coming in town this weekend too! We are attending a family wedding (yes, I am a GUEST!!). So the celebrating will continue. I think that happens with most special events at our home but it’s great!

I want to thank all of you for your well wishes, your phone calls, the gifts, the girls dinner out, meeting me for coffee and for making me feel special. Not just today but everyday! I have the best friends and family in the world!!

Oh, enjoy the image. I was Martha Stewart today too! My son has snacks at school tomorrow so we made fruit kabobs. We were supposed to roll them in yogurt and then coconut but all I could think of was the mess so we stuck with fruit on a straw. Try them… kids love them!

L + J : wedding

It was a beautiful Friday evening. The sun was setting. The guests were arriving and one girl was getting married. This girl had met the man of her dreams and on Friday they tied the knot! It was a simple, classy wedding and “L” was stunning in her dress. They were married at the Simpson House which had beautiful grounds for pictures. I was so honored to capture these moments for them. I even cried during the ceremony. I know, I am only the photographer but I get so into the event sometimes I cry! The bride and groom were amazing. They were two of the nicest people I have met. Their parents were a joy to work with too and so was “L’s” little girl. She was a cute as a button! The details were impeccable. Her dad cut wine bottles in half and smoothed off the tops for her flowers. She did her own flowers with the advice of Heather Coones who is an amazing florist!!

Thank you guys for letting me be a part of your day. I feel very blessed to know you! I hope you are enjoying your honeymoon week!

Here is a sneak peek of some of my favorite images. If you want to see a few more here is the slide show.
