Well, I am sure you are all stuffed with turkey and dressing b/c when it’s Thanksgiving you don’t just eat the meal on Thursday. You eat it every day until all the leftovers are gone:)! We made turkey soup with some of our leftovers and if you have never made it… you should. Today was the last of our leftovers. The last pumpkin pie (we had to split one piece between the four of us and one piece with a lot of whip cream can go a long way), the last of the dressing and well, you catch my drift. The turkey coma will wear off in a few days, right?!?! Have I told you I love this time of year AND we even had perfect put up your Christmas decorations, lay around the house and snuggle by the fire weather this weekend. Oh, and the best part…. all the free movies… you see we get about 20 channels on our TV and this weekend AT&T was running a special and all of our channels worked. It was amazing (as you can see we don’t watch that much TV so we were in TV heaven for a few days). If I could post all the pictures of these moments out here I would (like I always say if there were more hours in the day I would). Now it’s time for me to finish up a couple sessions and get some sneak peeks out.

Here is the first of the sneak peeks. These guys came all the way from CO for some fun images and fun images we got! Mom is going to be so happy. The little guy was more interested in his yogurt balls than anything else so we worked them in our favor and bribed him with them so I could get some of these images. The birds that were flying all around us helped too. We had such a great time downtown. The weather wasn’t bad. Once the yogurt hit “L’s” mouth he was good and as you can see we captured some great moments.

Thank you guys for a fun morning. Enjoy a few of my favorites and a FEW MORE HERE!

little peak

Here are a couple more images from sessions earlier this week. More to come!

I hope you all had a very blessed Thanksgiving. I love this time of year b/c it is a time to reflect on all that we are thankful for. I am thankful for a lot of things and especially for my family and my hubby’s family for coming to us this year! We had a great time and will have more fun this weekend so thank you, thank you for all the fun we shared yesterday and will share tomorrow;)!

Things are a little slow out here b/c we have a lot of family in town this long holiday weekend. I will have more great images out next week! Thanks for your patience…..

I can’t wait to shoot their wedding next June! We had such a great time hanging out downtown….

family

I met this family earlier this week at their home (which has amazing windows all over and great light!). You have seen them before out here but now they have added a new little addition so it was time to capture life with the family of five. We started out trying to get a family picture which I normally do first when everyone is fresh. Now imagine two little girls under the age of two and a 7 week old. Now imagine trying to have them all sit for a brief moment while a big black thing tries to capture them. I am sure you can picture in your mind what was happening… running, crying, jumping and just about anything but sitting. SO we brought out the books and dad read a story and a sweet image was captured. Then the little girls started playing with their sister by kissing her and touching her and more sweet images were captured. Then we hung out on the bed and then moved to the older girls rooms and the coloring began and block building and more sweet images were captured.

I love doing sessions like this where we just hang out and capture life. It was so good to see you guys again! I love hanging out and capturing your sweet children. Thank you for letting me spend the entire morning at your house! Enjoy the moments below and a FEW MORE HERE!

Here is another family I met on Sat. This was our first time meeting and I am pretty sure they think I am a little crazy:)! For those of you who know me I talk fast, walk fast and am pretty much on go the entire time. Well, mix cold, wind and pictures together and what do you get? A FAST photo shoot! I have to say I am pretty impressed with the results from both my sessions Sat b/c I worked FAST. I was on overdrive to get these images. When it’s cold out you have little amounts of time to work with before the kids realize it’s cold. So my camera did all of the work below in little time and some amazing images came out as the result!! You guys were so great for running fast with me and letting me work with your kiddos. They all did such a great job. Thank you for meeting me in the cold. Thank you for letting me be a fast worker and thank you for a fantastic session. If we do this again I promise there will be time for us to hang out a little longer.

Enjoy some of my favorites and a few more HERE!!

Sat in the COLD (and WIND) I met this family (one of my favorite repeat families!!) downtown and we captured some great images for them! It was so cold that we used their truck as a heater to warm up between locations. The girls were troopers! “L” knew it was cold and gave me her best when she was out b/c she knew the truck was waiting but little “C” was a different story. The cold didn’t phase her. She was off and running the entire time. It was fun, though. It could have been 40 degrees warmer and we all would have been much happier but with the results below you would have never guessed it was a whopping 36 degrees for this session. Oh, mom even gave me some exciting news too so next summer you may see a new little brother or sister out here. Congrats on your news guys! AND thank you for bearing the cold with me!

LOVE the red steps! That is a MUST DO with Levi and I in January or for his one year in April!

I love the energy in the shot of them running away! I can almost hear the pitter patter of little feet. :)
