L + J : wedding

It was a beautiful Friday evening. The sun was setting. The guests were arriving and one girl was getting married. This girl had met the man of her dreams and on Friday they tied the knot! It was a simple, classy wedding and “L” was stunning in her dress. They were married at the Simpson House which had beautiful grounds for pictures. I was so honored to capture these moments for them. I even cried during the ceremony. I know, I am only the photographer but I get so into the event sometimes I cry! The bride and groom were amazing. They were two of the nicest people I have met. Their parents were a joy to work with too and so was “L’s” little girl. She was a cute as a button! The details were impeccable. Her dad cut wine bottles in half and smoothed off the tops for her flowers. She did her own flowers with the advice of Heather Coones who is an amazing florist!!

Thank you guys for letting me be a part of your day. I feel very blessed to know you! I hope you are enjoying your honeymoon week!

Here is a sneak peek of some of my favorite images. If you want to see a few more here is the slide show.

family

Last weekend I met this family downtown. We hung out and captured some great images. The kiddos were so well behaved. The little guys were so young and were such good listeners. They were on their best behavior and I am not sure what they ate for breakfast but I am going to find out! Little people do so well during the first part of the session and then their personalities start to shine through. I love that part of kids. I love capturing who they are. I love when they become who they are and I get to capture it! These two did not disappoint and neither did mom or dad! Thank you guys for meeting me downtown. Thanks for another great session. Enjoy your sneak peek!

5 years…..HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

I love a lot of things in my life. I love God. I love my kids. I love my job. I love my friends and family. AND I love my life. But there is one thing I love the most. That is my husband. I love how he takes care of me. I love how he is such a good father to our kids. He is a big kid himself so it’s pretty easy for him. I love how he puts up with me and my ways. I just love the guy! I wouldn’t be where I am today without him.

Mr. D and I have had our share of hard times. But the good times always out way the bad and I am so glad we stuck through all the hard times. Thank you for being my support. Thank you for being my best friend. Thank you for being the love of my life. Thank you for being my rock. Thank you for being the best dad on earth! I could go on about this one but as most of you know my job can take a lot of my time away from my family and if I didn’t have the husband I have I couldn’t have the job I have. I will keep this short b/c I could go on and on. In the short of all of it….. I love you “D”. Thank you for YOU! We celebrate 5 years TODAY and last night at the Melting Pot we ate until we couldn’t eat anymore….and it was fabulous. I could eat chocolate fondue everyday….

Happy Anniversary!! I can’t wait for the next 5 years!

Christmas cards…

Okay, so many of you ask about Christmas cards. I don’t really put samples out b/c each card is unique to you!! I am posting a sample of what I might do with your images, but again each card will reflect the images you choose and the style that fits you. This card is one of my favorites! It’s a folded 5×7 wide format card. This one will be printed on pearl paper with a UV coating (to add awesome shine to it and to protect it). I have mixed up the images a bit b/c I know this gal and I know some of you will recieve this card in your mailbox this Christmas, so the card you get will be a little different!! I picked some images that were my favorite and she sent me the ones that were hers. There is a front side to this card then you open it up and her little gal is the entire inside (fun to take a close pin and hang from the tree!!) then there is a back.

The opportunities are endless! The other option this year, if you want to make your own card, is to buy a digital file and you will be able to go create your own. I have packages now that include all the files, as well! Just ask for details.

I am off to shoot a wedding this evening at the Simpson House downtown!!
