I always get excited when I get to capture this family (and all of my other families!!). I am truly blessed to do what I do, share life with people and capture every essence of their soul!! it’s a LOVE affair….

Yes, it’s a LOVE affair at the Athey home! I captured their wedding almost two years ago and now they have added a new addition. They brought their new little guy home last week and I had the honor of capturing all of his newness at just a few days old. This is my favorite way to capture a newborn by hanging out with the parents and their little one. Mom actually messaged me after the session and thanked me for all the soothing tips, which I thought was so sweet. Yes, after shooting newborns (and having two kiddos of my own) you figure out many ways to calm babies. Enjoy a few of my favorites from our session and thank you guys for a FABULOUS session!!

I have captured this family since their first little guy was a wee little one. A couple weeks ago they added a new addition to the family and isn’t he the CUTEST thing you have ever seen? Do you remember this little guy from 6 months ago?

Yep, this little guy is one loved little guy and he is 6 months old now. It was such a joy to capture you guys again. I know Everett was teething but you would never guess it from what we captured. Thank you guys for another fabulous session!! I can’t wait to see you this fall. Enjoy a few of my favorites!!

Yep, I adore this family! I have been capturing them for years now and every year it gets better . The kids keep growing and it’s so exciting to see how much they change over the year. They get taller, smarter and grow some really good listening ears (wink). Don’t get me wrong, I love those little ones but as they grow we seem to have more fun together b/c we can understand each other and from the looks of it below they can understand each other . My good friend and fellow photog Carmen Carver and I captured our famous hair stylist and her family a week ago. They were troopers for it being one of our coldest mornings before the warm front last week!! Thank you guys for a wonderful session. We had a blast hanging out at the football field with you guys!! This family has been through a lot in the past couple of years with their second little girl. If you have followed me over the years you might recognize her and notice her tumor is gone….. amen. Really an answer to a lot of prayers. Love is all you need to get through the toughest times and this family has plenty of that to go around! Enjoy their happiness but watch out, it’s contagious!!
