You have seen them before! This family started with a grow with me plan when this little gal was 3 months old and now she is 2! I had the opportunity to do something I have never done before with my first session Sat and that was shoot in the fog! And I am not talking a little fog either. If you live in KC you know how low that cloud was and it didn’t lift until I finished the session (11:30!). It was amazing. The images are amazing. This family is amazing. I love my repeat clients. I love watching them grow and catching up every time we get together. Thank you guys for another fantastic session! Enjoy your sneak peek below and a few more HERE!

Oh, I love my job! I love fall days with a latte. I love fall days shooting families. I love fall days with my husband and kiddos. Isn’t life good? These guys sure think so! Check out all the smiles. Check out all the fun we had at the park. This is what life is all about. By looking at these photos you might think I asked them to give me all those grins and looks. Nope! With a little help from Grandpa and Grandma and the entire park at their hands they were in charge of our session. From the bridge to the leaves to the bench. What a fun morning. What beautiful girls they are and what a joy they were to be around. They are going to be big sisters next spring too so next year you will see another little “D” out here.

Thank you guys for a great session! Thank you for sharing your joy with me. Enjoy some of my favorite images and a few more HERE!!

It was another beautiful fall morning. Batman and Robin were ready to go:)! You are probably thinking what?!?! Yes, sometimes we play games or make believe at our sessions. This little guy wanted to be batman and so batman he was! I took him out first and we played with leaves, made leaf hats and hung out in his front yard and that is when he told me he wanted to be batman. Then his little sister came out (she is only 5 months old and sitting up AND crawling!… watch out mom and dad!) and mom thought she could be Robin. Little “C” agreed so we had our little make believe game going on and it was so fun.

Yes, if you have had a session with me you know what I am talking about and if you haven’t had a session this is how they typically go with little ones. It’s the best way to get them to smile, relax and have fun (and I get to be a kid for a small period of time!!). Mom even said to me during the session… you are so good and I can see how you could get worn out. Well, she knows me pretty well b/c we spend our Monday mornings together in a bible study at church. She gets to hear all the fun stories about some of you and all about my job which I LOVE! And speaking of love… I just love this family so check out their sneak peek of some of my favorite images and a few more HERE!

Fall is HERE! It was a little chilly. We had a few runny noses and even a bloody nose (thank goodness for wipes!). A little bird pooed all over one of the little twins as we were walking (it came out of nowhere!), but that didn’t stop us from trekking all over the park bright and early Sat morning and capturing this family. The twins were on the go along with one of their other brothers so we were out for an adventure.

Thank you guys for another GREAT session. Hanging out with you is always fun. Thank you for being so relaxed and letting the moments just happen. Enjoy your sneak peek and a few more HERE!

It was a beautiful morning. The park was quiet and beautiful. Then this beautiful family showed up and made everything better. I love meeting new people. I love connecting with people and their kiddos. I get a lot of nice words and compliments about my work and I should post more of them so at the end of this post I am going to let you read the words they sent me the day after the shoot. It’s people like this who make the world a better place. They were so happy. So in love with one another. So connected to their kids. It was such an honor to meet them. I feel like I am a better person for knowing them!! That is how special they made me (YES ME) feel during our session.

This family made me feel on top of the world the entire time we were together. They have been following me for a long time now and finally got a spot in my crazy schedule (I am going to work on that next year b/c I had to turn so many people away this year… maybe I will do fall mini sessions?!?!?… let me know what you think about that idea). Anyway, I love it when clients tell me I feel like I am the only one they are working with. I love it b/c that means I am doing my job right:)! I love what I do. I love capturing life and I feel so blessed I was able to capture these guys…. enjoy the kind words from “D” and “J” and a slide show HERE!

Their e-mail to me Sunday after I posted an image for them to view….

I wanted to thank you for making time for us on Sunday. You are such a delight! It’s funny when you connect with people you don’t know and feel so comfortable with them. You are certainly blessed with that gift.

Jerry said, “this was the most painless photo shoot ever”.

If we get nothing else but the pic on your blog…it was perfect success!

Thanks again!
