She moved from NY to CO. He hired her for her first job in Denver at his company. Seeing how he had a firm policy against dating work people, it wasn’t until she decided to leave the company 10 months later did they finally get together. Now 3 1/2 years later, they are getting married!!

This weekend I spent the afternoon with Paula and Mike in Colorado!! I think I have Denver pretty much covered after this trip. We started out in City Park where they will wed this July. We walked the park and found some great spots for a few images. Then we headed over to the Botanical Gardens for some more pictures. This part of the story is pretty funny b/c we pull up to the gardens and there isn’t any parking (three weddings are going on at the same time!!). So Mike walks around the valets question of are we here for the wedding and they end up parking the car for us and we get out for an amazing part of our session. This place was so beautiful!! Then we headed over to where they will have their reception and it just got better from there. We did a little urban shoot and got to go inside to check out the place. The chandeliers tell all! They were the coolest I have ever seen (image below).

This is one of my dearest friends! I stayed with her and her (growing family) this weekend. Yes, there is a belly growing behind Noah in the picture.

AND the reason I flew out – this AMAZING couple. We had their e-session and it was super fun (I can’t wait to tell the story!).

This past weekend one beautiful evening I met these two (three) for a little family session and their engagement session! We met where it all began and I took a pic for them where he proposed with the hotel in the background!

They are from out of town but came to KC for this session since this is where it all started and now they reside back in Great Bend, KS where he is a dentist and she is raising their little boy. We captured the family first and what a cutie pie little Copper is! He was so happy to be in the grass and just hanging out with mom and dad. Chad’s sister came along to take over when we were done so we could take off and capture just the two of them.

My last session over the Easter break was with this great couple! They will wed in 2010 in Mexico. I am so honored to tag along and capture their weekend for them. If the wedding is anything like our session… it will ROCK!! These guys were so great in front of the camera. People are a little camera shy at first and they wonder how I get some of the images I get. Well, a little secret… I am a little crazy! No, I am not that crazy I just think if you can make someone laugh it brings out the best in them and then WALLA you have a great image! Laughter is the key to a great photo! These two were hamming it up, going with all of my crazy ideas and just having fun. I loved every minute of our jumping out of the car on a hot train track to driving all over God’s country to find our destination. If you have been to the Midwest country you know what I am talking about when I say God’s country!! It’s beautiful and goes on forever. We had a destination in mind (a friend’s cabin) but getting there was another story and these images tell the story. We stopped everywhere along they way and below is a taste of what we got.
