The love between these two is evident. The laughter they share is contagious. I can’t wait until Oct for their wedding to capture this fun, loving couple. Whitney’s mom booked me months ago, so I had never met Whitney and Blaise until the shoot. My husband works with her mother and she has been to our home and saw my office studio and when her daughter got engaged she called me up! Her sister came along for the session too and we had so much fun! It was windy, the clouds came in and we were threatened by rain but that didn’t stop us. These two were a blast to work with. They were up for anything (I love that!!) and we captured some amazing images for them. Thank you guys for a fantastic session. Thank you for hoping in and out of the car. Thank you for being so flexible with our weather and rescheduling.

March 22nd, 2009we will | engagement session

They met on the golf course. He would drive by her parents home and notice her smile. A friend set up the meeting. He drove up in his golf cart and parked in her parents drive (they live on the green). They were smitten and the rest is history. They will wed in May and last week I had the pleasure of capturing their engagement (and oh what fun we had!!).

We met at the golf course then headed to some land they own for some of our session. I love when I have no idea what I am working with and it all comes together. There was a cool barn with a great light pit, a trailer, a filed and hay!! I was in heaven. Darin and Tara were so easy to work with too. They let me throw out all of my ideas and below are a few of my favorites.

I can’t wait to capture your day this spring! They are so in love and I am truly blessed to be a part of this special time in their life. Enjoy the images and a few more HERE!!

January 27th, 2009We Will!

It was cold. Not just cold it was 17 degrees outside, SO freezing out… but that didn’t stop these two from shining in front of the camera! They are getting married this summer and I can’t wait for their wedding. When they came to my studio office for their consultation I just new we were a fit. As some of you know I am a runner and have run many marathons and races in my life. I have run the Boston marathon (that is how I met my hubby) so running is not only another passion of mine it’s how I met my hubby.

I love bridal consuls b/c it gives me a chance to meet a potential couple whom I may share life with for a period of time (if not the rest of their life) and then capture one of the most important days in their life. It’s like buying new shoes. You need to make sure you are a fit before you can continue on. Well, we start talking and running came up and one topic led to another and I just knew they were the perfect fit! As long as they liked me and thought the same we were made for each other!! They also did a 20 miler the morning of our session so I knew we could handle the cold.

Well, here are the results. We had so much fun. “K” was worried we wouldn’t get them same results as a “normal” outside shoot with “normal” outside temps. Well, they were game for the cold and the images couldn’t have turned out better! I can’t wait to see which one you choose for your save the date!!

December 1st, 2008We Will!

We had a BEAUTIFUL fall day here last week. “M” & “A” met me downtown on our 58 degree afternoon to capture their engagement. We were so blessed to have the weather we did (two days later it was snowing… you have to love Kansas weather!). These two were a BLAST to work with. Just check out the images below and you will see the love that emanates from them. They are so happy together and working with them was SO easy. I can’t wait for June when their wedding rolls around. If their wedding is anything like this session the images will be AMAZING! We are going to do an after the day session too and I am already excited about it. Oh, and check out her shoes. I love them! They added that perfect touch to her outfit!

The weather was beautiful Sunday afternoon. “K” & “M” met me in front of the church they will be married in next April. It is being renovated right now but when it’s finished they will have a beautiful wedding and I can’t wait to capture it. I met them for the first time at our session and we hit it off! We walked the streets around the church and found these great spots to capture this time in their life. They are so in love. They are smitten with each other and the images show it. As I mentioned in an earlier post we found their date in a parking lot and had some fun with the it. These images will make a great save the date card!!

Thank you guys for walking the streets with me! Enjoy a few of my favorite images and a few more HERE! I can’t wait to see you again next year. I am excited b/c we are going to do a bunch of the pix a few days before the wedding so they can enjoy their day! I have never done this before so it will be great. It will be a mini bridal session with the groom, their maid of honor and best man. It will be fun!
