Engaged!

These two met in Denver while “M” was there for a sports camp. He saw her again from across the room and recognized her from college. They both went to Wyoming for school and met up again after all these years. Well, the rest is history! They are getting married in a couple months. I will be flying to Wyoming in Aug to shoot their wedding and I am so excited to capture this time for them. My cousin has been through so much in the past few months. He had another stroke in his short 30 years of life (he had his first one 7 years ago). They don’t know why he had another one but it shut his entire left side of his body down for a while. He went to Mayo and they still don’t have answers. We are just praying God takes care of him and brings answers soon! He was able to make the trip for the pictures and we felt very blessed for this. I made their wedding invitations and RSVP cards, so we are very thankful he was able to make it here b/c there images are all over the invites and card (they are very cool… I love it when people go outside the box for things!).

While in town his sisters and parents came along and we captured all of their families too! Those sessions are coming up. My cousin Shalee Lehning (for all you K-State basketball fans out there) was able to make it for some pictures too! She has her picture on posters and all over TV for her ability to play some good ball, but this time we captured her without her gear on!

Enjoy the images and slide show HERE!!. We had so much fun with this session down in Wichita, KS. After the session was over “M” says to me… I have been dreading this for months (he is a typical guy who doesn’t like to get his pix taken) and this was so FUN! It went so fast and you made it so easy. He then asks me where I get all my ideas of all the crazy things I ask them to do?? I don’t plan things, I just show up and see what I have to work with and just go with it! I have a general idea of what I want my clients to do and if I have been to the place before I have an idea of lighting and where to go for the best shots. But this was a first time for me in Wichita, so I just had to go with what was there and it worked out great!!

engaged

and she said yes…. a little over 4 months ago “C” accepeted “J’s” proposal…. they will be wed in Oct of this year!

Two years ago these two met at the same location we took the images you are about to see! How cool is that! When we found out the temperature for the day of our session (not so warm) we decided on Union Station since it allows for indoor and outdoor shooting. This way if we got to cold we could warm up a bit and then head back out in the cold! This is the place they met and I was honored to go back there to capture this special time in their lives.

They are so in love and SO HAPPY (you have to watch the slide show b/c I am not sure if they are always laughing at me…very possible… or they are just happy in love). I would prefer to think the later!! I can get a little nutty, but the love these two share is evident in their images.

We had a great time running all around the Station to capture these moments. Thank you for the afternoon and I can’t wait for your wedding in Oct! Enjoy your sneak peek slide show HERE!

a little snippet – engaged…..

Here is a little snippet of the engagement shoot I had this past weekend. What an amazing couple! They met at Union Station, so it was fitting we had our session there. There are SO MANY more fantastic images to come. I know they are checking and dying to see the images so here are two!! I will have the rest out with the sneak peek/story later this week… ENJOY!

Engaged

This weekend I also had the opportunity to shoot this amazing couple. I will be doing their wedding in May and I am very excited b/c they are so easy to be with! Their dog even came along for the pictures (if you bring your pets be sure to have someone else along to help with them). “A’s” mom was there to help out with “K”! Thanks for keeping him out of trouble.

These two were so great to be around. They were so easy and easy going about doing whatever I asked. They are renting a trolley and we spotted one while driving to our second location…. I pulled over, made them get out and we snapped a few pictures while the wedding party using the Trolley was off at the Nelson taking their photos. We even got a street image with the Trolley in the background between them (fun!). We spent some time at the Art Institute eating up all the great light there (that place rocks with great light) and then we headed over to Loose Park for a few images in the Rose Garden b/c that is where they are getting married!! I am very excited about the time of day they will marry b/c it’s in the evening and the light will be so great (do I talk about light a lot… if I do it’s b/c it’s very important for great photos… so bare with me). Our images this time were in the bright sun which is hard to do (it can be done…but hard to master) so I am so excited about their evening wedding.

Thank you guys for a great engagement session! I can’t wait for MAY! Enjoy your slide show HERE!

I am doing their guest book which will be a soft bound, leather cover book hinged with tear proof material so the guests will be able to write on the pages. Once it’s complete I will take a picture of it so you can all see it.
