Last weekend I had the opportunity to capture little “S” again! He is two now. I started capturing this family and their life when he turned one. When you meet people like this you just sit back and thank God for wonderful people!! I was talking to “A” on the phone today and she was so complimentary of what I do. She was telling me how her hubby isn’t a big picture fan (what hubby is?!?!?……well, there are some of you out there, but most men are not big fans of the camera) but when I left their house on Sat he told her that I really do a great job of capturing even the most difficult of children (their son… story coming:)!!). I want to THANK all of you out there who make me feel special! I love your comments and e-mails. I had another client this week tell me that she felt like she was the only person I was working with (I love that… b/c I want to make all of my clients feel special too!). Isn’t that what life is all about?!?! I will say it again… I absolutely love what I do! I love meeting ALL OF YOU and I love sharing life with you. My one wish would be more time in the day to connect more with everyone and become life long friends (wouldn’t that be great!!). I love it when you tell me you feel like you have known me my whole life, or you tell me you will watch my kids (and you have never met them) so that your friend can get their child’s picture taken…. I just love the fact I am so blessed to have all of you in my life!!!!!!!!
Okay back to the story… sorry about the tangent!! So I show up on Sat to capture little “S” and he gave me a run for my money. He was not going to let me take his picture if he had any say in the matter. Well, after chasing him up to his room, into his baby brothers room (he will be born in 4 weeks!!) and then back downstairs I was determined to win his heart so we could get this photo session started. Mind you I was shooting the entire time I was chasing, but I really need him to stay in an area that has good light in the house. After we played with his toys, played the piano, read a book and sat in every spot in the house we had to bring out the crackers. I had the camera pretend to hold up the cracker and he kept his eye on the cracker and gave us a few grins and some of the best images were captured!! Then it was back to running around the house, kicking a ball, rolling a ball and showing me all the spots he thought he should sit in… and that is where the other great shots came from!
With all that said…. you CAN have a successful shoot with head strong toddlers, if you play along with them and become their best friend! When I left he was high fiving me and we were just that… friends!!
Thank you guys for ANOTHER great session! I can’t wait to meet the new little guy in April. Enjoy your images and slide show HERE!! Yes, there are a lot of images b/c we had a little maternity session too! ENJOY!!
