Sydney. She is three. She was all about three when we started our session too. Let’s just say it took a LOT of time to get her to like the idea she was going to have her picture taken downtown, in the morning and when she wanted to be doing something other than having her picture taken! We may never know what that other thing was b/c she is 3 but we finally managed to get her into her groove and once we did… well, the images are below. We were all a little worried. Time was going by and it kept going by and nothing. No smile. No movement. She really wasn’t having any of it and then like magic she appeared and we had a FANTASTIC session. Mom and dad you may have thought this would be an easy session to choose from given the circumstances BUT feast your eyes below. It may be a little tougher than you think! Thank you guys for sticking it out with me. Thank you for your patience and for another great session! Enjoy a few of my favorites below and a few more HERE in your sneak peek slide show.

June 30th, 2009Eva | 2 years old
This past weekend I had the opportunity to capture little Eva again. She is 2 now and has been in front of my camera since she was 1 month old. I adore this family. I adore them for their friendship and for how easy our sessions are. We had a great morning in the “heat” capturing the little one and a few of moms belly b/c Eva is going to be a big sister in Sept! I can’t wait to capture the newest member when she arrives.
Thank you guys for being troopers in the heat. Thank you for a wonderful session. Enjoy a few of my favorites below and a few more in their sneak peek slide show HERE!

May 25th, 2009Five and Three 1/2
On two separate occasions I tried to capture my little guy. Kate was along for the second round. Here are just a few of my favorites. My babies are growing up. It’s bitter sweet once again. I LOVE where they are because they amaze me every day, they are the sweetest little kiddos (I know I am bias) and they are at a FUN age. Every now and then I miss them being tiny, though. I won’t get all sad on you because every stage has been great and I am just soaking it all up!!
I am posting a little snippet from the four sessions I had this weekend soon. Stay tuned!

April 29th, 2009my baby is 5!
Last weekend besides shooting a wedding my baby turned 5!! We had a HUGE party with family and friends and it was a success. My hubby made a race track for the kids to race cars since we had a hot wheels party, hot dogs and chips were served in the pit and cake and lemonade was had by all. We had so much fun!!
Here are a few of my favorite images from the party! Friends and family I will send the slide show out soon!!
For starters – my boy is not a fan of the camera (I wonder why????????) – we are heading out next week for an official shoot!! The Lord needs to give me strength on this shoot
.

Now my little gal LOVES the camera so she will be the shining star at our shoot. We need some of her to rub off on her brother!!

Thanks Sarah for some of the photos!!

April 16th, 2009Kaid & Kylee | little bit bigger ones
AMAZING. This is the word that comes to mind when I think of this session. Yes, our session was amazing and the kids wanted to come home with me by the time we were done (b/c I was just so much fun). Kylee kept telling her mom she was having so much fun and Kaid just wanted to come home with me… so cute!! He was in tears once b/c he knew this wasn’t going to happen. This session was AMAZING because little Kaid was with us and able to do the session. He is 3 years old and has brain cancer. The type of cancer this little guy has was not supposed to move to his brain, but it did. He is in remission and full of life, so my good friend (from the session I just posted with little Kya) set up this appointment for them so we could capture these guys right now where they are in life… full of happiness and a nice reminder of LIFE and how it should be lived.
I don’t know this family. I just met them last weekend (and I feel very blessed to know them now) but as I was working on their images I would tear up a bit b/c life is short. We never know what lies ahead but if we keep loving, living and sharing life each and every day to it’s fullest then we are doing exactly what we should be doing and that is LIFE. It is so easy to get caught up in the now and the little demands put on us but this session was a quick reminder that we need to tell people we love them, hug our friends and family and just share life with laughter and love EVERY DAY.
Thank you guys for a FUN session. Thank you for running the grounds, looking in water holes, sitting on cement steps, not falling and breaking a body part (lol) and just playing. I am so blessed to know you. Kaid and Kylee were just a joy to capture and the love they have for life is catching!! Enjoy a few of my favorites below and a FEW MORE HERE!
