You have seen them before. I started capturing this family when big brother was just a little guy. Now he is growing up and his little brother just finished his grow with me plan! He turned one a couple weeks ago but due to our CRAZY weather we had to reschedule to Friday. He did a fantastic job!! He isn’t walking yet but he is determined to get what he wants and figure out how to get there without walking (so cute!). I also captured a sweet image of his beautiful mommy and him while the sun was making it’s way out of the sky.

Thank you guys for another great session! I will see you this fall with the entire family. Enjoy a few of my favorites and a few more HERE!

I just adore this family. I have captured them now for a couple years and every time we get together it’s like no time has passed. The week leading up to the session when I talk to mom on the phone it’s like we are old friends that haven’t missed a beat. I just love that! I also love how their little gal and I have a great time every time we are together. And her smile is contagious!

The best sessions are the ones where the kiddos are in charge (with a little direction). I love their little looks, their interest in the littlest or biggest (trains) things around us. I love how they want to become your best friend in a matter of min and be where you are and follow you every where. These are just a few of the reasons I love capturing little kids. “A” was so cute and so into what we were doing. If I didn’t know she was two, I would have thought she was a lot older. She was a very good listener and did what she was told (another key point to a successful shoot with a toddler – let the photographer interact and hang out with the little ones while mom and dad (or adults along for the session) hang out in the background). Thank you guys for doing just this and allowing me to capture your little girl again.

I can’t wait for this summer to start our grow with me plan with the newest addition to your family! Thank you for another wonderful session. Enjoy a few of my favorites below.

Two posts in one day! WOW, I am getting good at my work flow and I mean that in the best light possible. I am figuring out what works for me and how to edit a sneak peek in record time so you can all enjoy these images moments after they are captured b/c that is what life is all about… capturing and preserving moments in time and then enjoying them for a lifetime. This is why I love my job! I love preserving these precious moments. The ones I love to capture of my own family (we may not be dressed up and looking our best all the time but that doesn’t stop the big black camera from coming out daily… hence the fact my children don’t like photo shoots with me… they have them all the time).

This little gal will light up your evening, day or morning (whenever you are reading this). She was so fun to capture AGAIN! I started taking her pictures when she was three months old and 6 sessions later here she is again to grace the blog. I love it when she does b/c that means I got to spend an hour with another one of my favorite families. I love sharing life with these two (and the little one)!

Enjoy a few of my favorites and a few more HERE!! I am looking forward to our next session when she is 3 or close too it (if we do a fall session instead of winter). Yes, I know what it’s like to have a Jan. baby and I do (the real sessions) other months than Jan b/c of the cold factor and seeing a little green or a little orange is better than a little brown somtimes. You may beg to differ but changing it up a bit is okay b/c the moments will still be captured and a few weeks doesn’t change your child that much (unless they are in those first months when they are growing like weeds!!).

ENJOY!!

the real session!

It was cold. She is THREE. She had to wear the pink shirt she wore for this morning’s session for this afternoons (even though I had an entirely different shirt for the second outfit). You don’t argue with a three year old when you want a picture without red eyes and a runny nose. You give in even though you are the mom and let her wear the pink shirt and you give her Hershey’s kisses by the bag and white mints to make her even want to get in front of the camera. A bow made it to her head and stayed in (she is not a fan of having anything in her hair). No, we did not spend the entire day taking pictures (even though it felt like it). We spent minutes this morning b/c she wasn’t’ into it (I AM HER MOM and playing games in the cold isn’t her idea of fun and making leaf hats in the cold wasn’t her idea of fun and she kept looking at me like who are you and where is my mom) and a good 15 min this afternoon after her much needed LONG nap AND we got THESE AMAZING IMAGES!! amen. life is good.

This was my day in a nutshell. These are the images. I LOVE my job. I love what I do BUT I see why people hire photographers. Which I may have to do one day. My kids know me but they would rather have me hold their hand, hug them while we are trying to get a picture, kiss me in the middle of a session. They don’t want to run away from me and have fun, they want to be ON me or hugging me.

Enjoy the images!! I know I am biased but she is one cutie patootie and I love every bit of her and even though it was like pulling teeth today the results are amazing and my little spitfire did a GREAT job!
I have 4 sessions coming up this weekend so stay tuned for some more fun stuff!

Someone is 3!!

My little gal turned 3 yesterday and we had her parties this weekend. One of my favorite people photographed the “kid” party for me and I see why people hire photographers to capture birthday parties! I always thought since I was a photographer I could do it myself but let me tell you it’s so much EASIER to hire someone!! I was able to run the show with my hubby and enjoy the party. Thank you Sarah for being one of my favorite people and for taking amazing images of Miss “K”. Here are a couple of my favorites!! We had a party with 17 little people running around the house. It was so fun! She had a blast and I am just in awe that she is 3. Time flies so fast.

As you have noticed I have been on a little vacation but my break is coming to an end here soon. I have two sessions this weekend. A little guy who turns one, his family and an engagement session! I have really enjoyed my time off but am looking forward to a great year and lots of fun sessions. I am back and will be sharing lots of fun images and info so see you around.

Oh, if you haven’t noticed my new brand and blog are here too! I love my new look. My new business cards just came and they are great and I am updating my website a bit too. There is one fun thing about my new blog. If you comment and I get more than 5 comments in a row they will start to scroll! SO comment away if you see something you like, want to say hi or just want to leave me a few words! I would love to see how the comment section works.
