Sisters

On Sat I had another session downtown while it was raining and WOW check out these two sisters. There are a few images in here I will be ordering in CANVAS for my office! Their eyes will melt you. If you meet them, their souls are contagious and they are just a joy to be around. They actually enjoyed having their pictures taken too! This is rare with kids. We played the game of whose turn was it to get their picture taken and that is how I got most of these images! I have to say they were so easy. They will captivate you so watch out!

Thank you for meeting me in the rain. Thank you for letting me capture your little girls! They are beautiful! Your slide show/online proofs will be in your inbox later this evening!

On a side note: We are getting our family pictures taken this Sunday and I am a little nervous b/c we all want those fantastic shots but… my kiddos do not like the camera. BUT that is why I love my job again b/c photo sessions don’t really have to be photo sessions. We can meet up. Play games and capture life. This is the plan on Sunday for us! A fellow photographer is meeting us downtown (my favorite place to shoot!!). Pray it works b/c there will still be the big black camera there:). Actually, this is the way I prefer to have a session go. I love it when people are casual. I love it when they interact and have fun with each other and I love that I get to be there while they are hanging out and I get to capture it!

2 years old!!

I always say the little ones I capture are little movers and shakers but this little gal had a mind of her own with all of her energy! We met downtown (my favorite place to shoot!) and she had everything on her mind but letting me take her picture. We walked the streets, sat in little nooks and cranny’s, painted with rocks and tried to get her to look at the camera. I love this age. I love how they just take it all in and explore and I love capturing all of those moments.

I posted a few of my favorite images below and as always there were way to many to choose from! Thank you guys for a great session.

2 cuties!!

I had the opportunity to work with these little guys again this year (I love seeing clients over and over!!). We headed to the park in their neighborhood and lets just say I might have to visit this park again! I am def going to use it in Oct for a wedding I am shooting b/c their church is right down the street on Ward Parkway (can’t wait for this one!!). Anyway, we played and we watched bull dozers (thank goodness for the dozers b/c these two DID NOT want their pix taken). We were all kids once. We all were at the stage of not wanting our pix taken. I have two of my own and they don’t like their pictures taken either. So this is where I come in… I am the fun, the laughter (with moms help turning me into a bunny and any other animal we could think of to make them smile) and whatever you want me to be at your shoot! For those of you who know me you know how silly I can get. Well I had to pull out all my silliness this past weekend and it worked!! We managed to get some great images for mom and dad.

Thank you guys for another great session!! Enjoy some of my favs below and your slide show will be in your inbox soon.

Oh, I also want to thank all of you who send me kind notes, mail me thank you letters and send me gifts. You are all so sweet and to kind. It makes my heart happy that you love your images as much as I enjoy capturing them for you. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! I have the best clients in KC!!

1 year old!

Its early on a weekday morning. I am driving to a session to meet a family for the first time (or at least this is what I think is going to happen). I drive into the park. Park my car and the family arrives. Mom and Dad brought Grandma and Grandpa along since they were in town for the holiday weekend. I am in shock! Grandpa was my grade school P.E. teacher!! Yes, it is a small world. A very small world.

Another photographer here in town was having a medical issue and asked me to help her out with this session since she couldn’t take their pictures, so I took the session off her plate. It was exciting b/c it brought back old memories of running around the gym playing dodge ball as a kid (funny that is a vivid memory for me.. dodge ball!!).

Anyway, we had a great session. His sons little girl was turning one and was on the move. Once again I ran all over the park with her, captured her as she is right now and even got some cake pictures! They brought along her cupcake and let her dive in and it was so cute.

Thank you guys for a wonderful session. Enjoy some of my favorite images from the session and it was nice to see you some of you again and meet the rest of you for the first time.

school days….

School started this week for our family. Our little guy is in his second year of preschool and this year was much different than last year. There weren’t any tears, he was very excited (you can see by the pictures) and he is still talking about it! Life is good here:)! Enjoy the pix! The other little gal, in a matching dress to my daughter, is a dear friend who we spend almost every min with:). My little gal had to have the same dress as “M”. She is two going on 16!!

More images coming! I have a 1 year old and a newborn that I am working on…..
