Yes, it’s a LOVE affair at the Athey home! I captured their wedding almost two years ago and now they have added a new addition. They brought their new little guy home last week and I had the honor of capturing all of his newness at just a few days old. This is my favorite way to capture a newborn by hanging out with the parents and their little one. Mom actually messaged me after the session and thanked me for all the soothing tips, which I thought was so sweet. Yes, after shooting newborns (and having two kiddos of my own) you figure out many ways to calm babies. Enjoy a few of my favorites from our session and thank you guys for a FABULOUS session!!

I have captured this family since their first little guy was a wee little one. A couple weeks ago they added a new addition to the family and isn’t he the CUTEST thing you have ever seen? I ADORE this family! I captured big sis throughout her 2 years of life and now they have a new addition. Meet Brooklyn. The sleepiest, happiest and well mannered 9 day old I have ever met. She didn’t make a peep even with big sis trying to see if she had any teeth, giving her kisses and just loving all over her. I can’t wait to share this session!! Enjoy them. I sure do!!

Yes, it’s quiet around here after busy season. I am shooting a little and enjoying the downtime. As most of you know in the photography world we go through seasons of busy and seasons of “non” busy which is good for us since our busy is extremely busy. I am working on updating the business documents, a new online ordering system and a new blog site!!

All exciting things which I hope to release soon! I hope you are all enjoying the season of life you are in right now. I can’t wait to see some of you again this year and meet some new faces. I am starting to fill up for spring 2012, so contact me soon if you want to get in front of my camera. I would love to capture your season!!

A post is not complete without a picture so I will leave you with the twins I captured this week. Enjoy all of their newness. I love how the little guy on top had to have two diaper pins to keep his diaper closed and his little sister was so tiny it only took one in the middle.

I am going to go back to the old way of showing sneak peeks before “facebook”. Yep, changing it up again! It will get me back out here on the bloggity blog and back to telling stories and sharing life. Facebook likes to change things up and the images out there just aren’t the same as out here so here we go with my first peek!

I met this little guy Friday morning. He was perfect. His family was amazing and so in love. How could you not be?? He was so peaceful and their guest room was the perfect place for this shoot. We hung out in there all morning and captured their life. Here are a few of my favorites from the morning. Enjoy!

It’s been a FANTASTIC 2010! I am super excited to see what 2011 will bring. I hope you all have a great weekend with your family and friends ringing in another year. May this new year bring lots of joy, peace and hope to each and every one of YOU. I start booking for 2011 next week. April is almost full but there are spots open the rest of the months!! Let me know if you want to get in front of my camera this year. We will have a lot of fun documenting who you are right now (or the moment we get together to capture your right now).
