They met in a hospital. She thought he was cute and he had his eye on her too. Finally one day he just decided enough was enough and he said to her “are you ever going to go out with me?”… or something along those lines. You get the picture. The crush turned into an outing and well, the rest is history…..

They are going to be doctors and as fate would have it they are meant to be together. He was the smartest in his class and she was the smartest in hers. I think the Lord brought them together so they could bring their smarts together (and has the best man said they will have some really smart kids!).

Their wedding was held in McPherson, KS at Lakeside Park. The sun was shining bright and love was in the air. The wedding was supposed to take place in Sept, but their schedules are so hectic they moved it up to June and last week they had a wedding. The preparation had to fast, but they pulled it off. We started out at her house for the preparation shots then they saw each other for the first time on the deck (pix below) and then we headed to the park for pictures and the ceremony. After the ceremony we went to the Opera House for the reception.

Thank you guys for an incredible day! The Lord has done great things for you and the love you share is so evident. I am so happy you found each other and I wish you the best in your life to come as husband and wife.

Weddings are sad for me when they are over. I feel like part of the family for a short time then I have to say goodbye. BUT this time I get to see these two again! We weren’t able to fit their engagement session in before the big day b/c 4 weeks was not long enough to work it in, so we are going to do an after the wedding session. It will be so fun to see these two again. They are some of the nicest people I have met and I am very excited to see them again either this fall or next spring (we have to wait and see what happens with their schedules).

They were out having drinks with friends and ran into each other. Two years later………they are married!! Last weekend I had the opportunity to capture “S’ & “A”‘s wedding day. We started off at the Uptown Theater where everyone got ready. They had candy for their guests in large jars when you arrived, they had CD’s of music for guests to take of their favorite songs. Every detail was perfect! “A” had her hair done by Dyeabolique and her make-up done by OMO’s Day Spa and they both did an amazing job! Her flowers were even more perfect. Every girl had a diamond charm with their intial on it… absolutely amazing!!

They rented a trolley so we headed off to the Nelson Atkins Art Musem for some pictures and then to Loose Park where the ceremony took place. My friend Kami came along to second shoot with me and did an awesome job helping me out! We captured every detail of their day and here is a sneak peek for you to see!

My new blog is finally here (thanks to my good friend Kami for all her help…I am truly blessed to have you in my life!) and the amazing Jai from blog oh blog who custom designed the blog for me.
